ABOUT THIS JOB

The Technical Writer will create and execute communications to support our operational & digital marketing teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to create content to attract and retain prospects / members in a brand, compliant and consistent manner.

Work independently when appropriate, but leverage creative & marketing teammates, cross-functional team members and direct manager.
Stay abreast of compliance while applying best practices in order to balance operational/functional feasibility.
Build strong working relationships with the Creative, marketing & operational teams
Experience developing copy in a fast paced environment
Proven experience making complex health care topics simple and easy-to-understand while infusing the Bright Health brand.
Keen eye for proofreading various material types, being detailed and the ability to juggle multiple projects in tight timelines.
Write & proof for various formats : direct mail, operational letters, required documents, collateral, digital & social media content that reflects our brand voice and meets the compliance & legal requirements
Experience writing transitions to guide a user throughout the document while using appropriate language and understanding and applying health literacy tenents & AP style guidelines ensuring copy meets the objectives
Research and use appropriate content sources while creating engaging content to meet project and business requirements
Understand and apply the basics of Bright Health brand, tone & voice.
Distill/synopsize complex concepts and information (such as may be provided in creative & project briefs and other documentation), in order to effectively leverage key messages
Collaborative and creative partner who is able to work with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Journalism & Mass Communication or related field.

5+ years of marketing experience in corporate or agency environment, experience in copywriting, content development & proofreading required.
5+ years copywriting experience with healthcare and writing for direct response, demonstrable expertise in digital content development required.
Clear understanding for AP standards required.
Able to provide portfolio in interview.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Some travel may be required. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
