Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Technical Application Manager with technical leadership and development experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. 


Additional Responsibilities:


Oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems.

Provides technical leadership and direction for system design, development and support initiatives.

Works closely with client departments in development and implementation of technology strategies and application systems.

Advises application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.

Directs application support functions and staff to provide quality production support and ensures application service level commitments are met or exceeded.

Interfaces with clients to ensure application systems and projects are meeting or exceeding their expectations. Provides direction and manages resolution of applications issues.

Defines and manages resource requirements and allocations, monitors and improves quality and ensures 'best practice' development techniques.

Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff; maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages a large team of individual contributors.

Manages 12 or fewer individual contributors working on moderate/complex applications. Manages employee relations, performance, and reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.
-At least 4 years experience with major tasks, deliverables, formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Working experience in:
-IT service management (ITSM)
-IT project management
-Information management

Extensive experience in:
-IT standards, procedures, policy
-Application delivery process
-IT environment
-Application development tools
-IT systems management
-Management background in the development, implementation and support of technical platforms; preferably 3 years
-Product and vendor evaluation
-System testing
-Information testing
- C# / .NET
- Visual Studio
- Web application development
